Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Visit to Uganda (05/11/2009)

One of Britain’s leading business support organisations, the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), is visiting Uganda on a trade mission between 06 and 11 November 2009.

BCCI will bring UK companies from the manufacturing and services sectors with products that are tailored to Ugandan businesses and consumers. These include waste water systems, water purification, agricultural consultancy, mobile phone transactions, scientific laboratory equipment, new and used vehicles and equipment supplies to the oil and gas industry, international aid related, engineering and construction markets.

The British High Commission through its UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) Team is supporting the visit of the Birmingham Trade Mission and arranging their programme in Uganda. UKTI also assists Ugandan businesses to explore the UK market and connect with British technology and expertise across the spectrum.

The Trade Mission will be meeting key local business contacts to explore new opportunities in the Ugandan market and thus help to strengthen further the strong commercial links between Uganda and the UK.

Jonathan Webber, Director of International Trade at Birmingham Chamber of Commerce said, ‘As ever we greatly look forward to our trade visit to Uganda. Visiting UK companies always comment on the business and partnership opportunities they encounter with local companies and, with UK Trade & Investment, we are very pleased that our work contributes to economic growth and employment opportunities across all communities.
