Chevening Scholarships

Chevening Scholarships are offered by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for full-time study in many subject areas, at a British university of the student's own choosing. Scholarships are awarded for one year Masters degrees or for short postgraduate courses.  Chevening Scholarships are fully funded awards and will cover the cost of the university tuition fees, a monthly living allowance and a return airfare to the UK.

The Chevening Scheme has operated in Uganda for over twenty years.  In that time over 90 scholarships have been awarded.

These scholarships are either fully funded by the FCO or are in partnership with a range of organisations. 

Applications for the 2010/2011 academic year are now being accepted.

Please submit your application to the British High Commission or British Council by Friday 27 November 2009.
