DFID Uganda
The UK is deeply committed to helping to eliminate poverty in Uganda by working with partners to help Uganda to contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals and the Ugandan Government's Poverty Eradication Action Plan.
The UK Government, through the Department for International Development (DFID), has been one of the largest bilateral donors to Uganda in the past three years.
Total DFID assistance to Uganda in the financial year 2007-08 is expected to total £70 million (approximately Ugandan Shillings 241,500,000,000).
